Shark Steam Mops are a Huge Disappointment! - Shark STEAM MOP Professional
Months ago I submitted an inquiry about my Shark Professional Series Steam Mop. (Model:S3601A) to www.sharkclean.com. Got no response. I sent a second. No response.
I called and called the customer service department and could never get anyone to answer. I resorted to leaving messages. I never received so much as a word in return.
I had purchased my steam mop only several months before it stopped working. I raved over it! I understood why my friends had persuaded me to purchase one. I took the best care of it. I was careful to use it strictly according to the manual.
The first thing it began to do was stop emitting steam and built up steam pressure until the mop head would blow off. My husband and I had spent nearly $200 on this little mopping jewel. We called for assistance----we got none!
My husband and I began doing research on how to properly unclog the mop head's mineral deposits. WARNING SIGN: Do you know how many helps there are on Youtube and Pinterest to help people purge their SHARKS STEAM MOPS!!! We tried using the professional sites video. We did this using SHARKS product. Not even close.
I love the way my SHARK cleaned---when it worked!!! I changed the head to the triangular mop head I hadn't used before and it blew off. Finally, the whole thing quit.
I asked my girlfriends that had recommended the SHARK STEAM MOP to me to ask whether they had trouble. Not one, but all three of them, had the same mop and they had done the same thing. NONE of them got a response from the SHARK Co.
We all agree, Shark has created a product they obviously know has huge issues or they would jump right on making things right. They are content to persuade consumers to spend $200 on a mop that does an impressive job (for about 7 months to a year) with no regard for the fact the purchaser will be stuck with a $200 useless piece of junk in the end. Shame on them.
