  • Mop Handle

This is my 2nd Shark Steam Mop ! I've had good luck with the product with exception that the coupling part that connects the bottom half of the handle to the top half snapped in two ! Mop still works if you duct tape the two parts with a stick ! 😢 This happened with my last Shark Steam Mop also ! Contacted Shark they want $20 for a whole new handle ! I'm sure they know the little plastic part that connects the upper and lower handle are too cheaply made to withstand usage for any period of time ! Shark stated I would have to replace the entire handle that sad and unfair... More...

This is by far the WORST company in North America. Their customer service is awful, rude, ignorant and flat out disrespectful. The product is mediocre at best. My steam mop broke after a few months, they offered some great $1.07 shipping and in 3-5 days it would be here. I only wish it were that easy. They mishandled the order and it took three times as long for the product to arrive. Granted I paid $150.00 for a mop and they acted like I should be so grateful to them for a warranty. I contacted their customer service reps and was not only degraded but treated like trash. Their supervisor... More...

  • Shark Steam Mops are a Huge Disappointment!

Months ago I submitted an inquiry about my Shark Professional Series Steam Mop. (Model:S3601A) to Got no response. I sent a second. No response. I called and called the customer service department and could never get anyone to answer. I resorted to leaving messages. I never received so much as a word in return. I had purchased my steam mop only several months before it stopped working. I raved over it! I understood why my friends had persuaded me to purchase one. I took the best care of it. I was careful to use it strictly according to the manual. The first thing it... More...

  • Shark steam mop WARNING

I have had my shark steam mop for about a year. I turned it on this morning to use and I heard a pop. The steam stopped. I listened for a moment then all of the sudden there was a loud sounded like explosion and the floor piece blew off across the floor. It was a big surprise to see that happen. I know people in the past that have had their steam mop stop working and they took it apart I saw that the small tube that sends the water through came off. I'm not sure if this is what happened to mine I didn't open the case. But this is unsafe. More...

  • Mop won't make steam repair

I had two with the same problem. The fix is easy but involves disassembly. If you're not handy that way it's probably way too involved. The problem is two little rubber one way valves that control the pumping of water from the reservoir to the heater unit. They're a remarkably easy fix but getting to them is a chore. 1. Remove the handle extension (just makes unit easier to work with. 2. Remove six screws from the body (two are smaller) 3. Lift the water tank and remove the hose from the top of the heater unit. move the clip that holds the hose farther onto the hose rather... More...

  • Shark broken steam mop again

My first one broke the first month of use, it just would not turn on at all. My second one stopped making steam after about 8 months. They said the heating element must be dead, which cannot be fixed. luckily, I was still under the 1 year warranty and am now waiting for my 3rd one. Customer service was fine, and they will replace for a dollar plus tax. I hope this one won't break so soon, as the 1-year warranty is almost up. This steam mop has been designed in a way that it cannot be fixed if it breaks, so once the warranty is up, just hope for the best. I find it easy to use as you... More...
  • steam mop broke

While using my shark steam mop yesterday, it popped and steam burst from the top and sides of the mop. The hose popped off while using it so my husband and I opened it and put it back on to use it today. As soon as I plugged it in and pumped the handle, it popped off again. I have not had this product a year yet, as it was a Christmas gift last year. I am very disappointed in it for the price it cost. Is there anything Shark can do to replace this item for me? If not, I will just go out and buy a different product. More...

  • Couldn't be happier with my Shark Steam Mop!

I have had my shark steam mop for a couple years now, and I couldn't be happier with it. I don't have the higher end version. Mine was only $60 at Walmart. It has the smaller tank and the pad is only one-sided. I use mine twice a week. I only use distilled water in it. I have never had any problems with it, and I'm actually a little shocked to see so many bad reviews. Granted when I first used the mop I thought the handle was cheaply made, and I was sure that it was going to break in no time, but it's lasted 2 years...2 years of hard scrubbing. I knew when I bought it... More...

IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW ABOUT THE SHARK--It does work as well as the advertisements say but you have to be carefull where you prop it while using it. It has a little bit of a rubbery material on the handle probably to prevent it from sliding when set against a wall but it doesn't provide much traction and unless you prop it into a corner area, it slides down the wall and slams onto the floor. The problem with that is it just stops working after hitting the floor so many times. Had it happen. They replaced it nicely. Anyway, prop it in some kind of corner, even within the corner created... • Mop Explosion

Today, while steam moping my floors my shark steam mop decided to start hissing and an explosion of steam burst out of the sides and bottom of the mop. I am lucky that I did not sustain a steam burn because I immediately dropped the device. After unplugging the steam mop and allowing it to cool I have found that it leaks water and no long works. VERY DANGEROUS!!! More...
  • Poor Customer Service

Purchased a Shark steam mop for a Christmas gift in 2010 for my 78-yo mother. Worked great for her until the following November (less than a year), when she was in the hospital with knee replacement and I was trying to clean her floors. No hot steam came out. I called Shark's customer service number and told the guy, who wrote down our info and said, well, try plugging it in and waiting, etc. Never worked. Then my mom, after recuperating from surgery, tried the mop again in February and it worked, once. After that, it's not worked again. She called and the customer service... More...

  • Don't Buy

I purchased the Shark Steam Mop and it was just what I needed. I had it less than a year when the steam stopped working. My husband took it apart and saw that the hose which in enclosed in the steam part of the mop had frayed and came away from the part that makes the steam come out from the bottom. I wrote to Shark and told them what happened and they never got back to me. From reading all the reviews on this page it looks to me that they built the Shark not to last and avoid our complains in hopes that we will just buy a new one. In this day and age with the economy the way it is $120.00... More...

  • Handle Sucks

I've had the mop for about half a year now and I have only used it about ten times. The handle has completely broken off of the mop. It is made of extremely cheap and brittle plastic, it's thin and hollow and now that it's broken is very sharp and has cut my hand open. Don't buy from Shark unless you want blood on your floors as you clean them. More...

I have had my steam mop a little over a year, this summer i was cleaning my floor (summertime) in my bare feet and it was heating up and i began to pump it and the head blew off spraying hot steam and hot water all over my floor and feet. I tried calling the 1800# and they gave me another number to call, but that number didn't even ring. When I called back they told me to keep trying that number. I need someone to get in contact with me so I can get this resolved! More...

i purchased my Shark Profesional steamer and used it no more than 4 times. it has stopped producing steam. I've tried everything possible to troubleshoot and nothing as woke. Why is this expensive piece of machine (i paid over $180) not meeting up to the consumer's expectation. I am not a happy consumer.

I am on my second Shark Steamer, the first one was great, this one I bought within the last year and it is a piece of CRAP! I too am a senior/disabled and cannot afford to waste my money on stuff like this! I am so disappointed, I'll go to another manufacturer when I can afford it!

I've had three Shark steam mops. They all worked pretty well the first couple of times but they all stopped. I must be a real sucker for those Shark infomercials because I believe everything that I hear said about these mops and what I see and end up ordering another pricier model. They keep improving them, right? I still have two of them thinking that since they were hardly used someone should be able to fix them. Where do I take them? Is there a Shark Steam Mop repair shop? I'm in Florida in the Fort Myers area. I am so disappointed.

Does anyone know where to get rubber hose that leads to steam unit inside mop. Mine split and it is not long enough to cut back and put back on

I've had my mop for about 3 years. It just started dripping water on the floor. It gets steam and hot but if someone can tell me what to do please reply. I love the shark mop. I don't want to throw it away. If I do then I will just go with another brand.

I had a replacement sent to me and now that has done the same thing - it will not produce steam. I really love this produce but really bummed that it will not work for more than a year. Is there any way to get yet another replacement or do i have to buy a new one - or another model/make? Thanks

had mine a little over a year. I was cleaning my wood floors, in the summertime, it was heating up, but stopped producing steam through the pads, then the end blew off spraying hot steam and water all over my floor and bare feet, burning my feet. I tried calling the 1800#, but was told to call another number, but that number never even rang, when I call the 1800# back they told me to keep trying the other number. I am getting the run around and just want to get my unit fixed. I can't afford to buy another one as this one was a gift. Someone needs to call me back so I can get this figured out! Very disappointed because I did like my steam mop.

I love the steam mop. I had surgery 4 times on my stomach and the mop has been a life saver. It keeps me from bending and stretching my stomach out of place. My complaint is that I was using the mop and fire sparked continuously from the cord. The is very hazardous. I can no longer use the mop due to this mishap. I would be very appreciative if you would replace the mop.

I got my Shark steam mop as a Christmas gift in 2009. I have loved it; it's great not having to use the smelly, overpowering cleaners that others need. Yesterday it would not steam and it blew the handle apart from the rest of the mop with a lot of steam force. I reattached it 2 more times and the same thing happened. I would like to replace it but am afraid the same would happen with a new one. Is there any warranty with this product? I'm so disappointed and I've recommended it to so many people.

I bought my Shark Steam Mop in December 2009. It has stopped working, won't heat up or produce any steam. It's a piece of junk, and I'm sorry that I spent more than $90 on it. Since your company has such a poor reputation for warranty service on this product, I'm just going to throw it in the trash and chalk this experience up to live and learn. But if you would like to surprise me and replace this product with a new one at your expense, please contact me.

I've only used the mop 3 times and the handle broke. I'm having a very hard time contacting someone for a warranty claim.
